Alsusuti Aboriginal Crisis & Counselling Services is a unique service, offering mental health support and counselling services to
aboriginals by aboriginals.
All Alsusuti service providers are aboriginals holding at least a Master's Degree level of education in counselling/psychology or social work, with an appropriate background and previous experience in mental health counselling. All are licensed and regulated by their respective
provincial bodies and approved by N.I.H.B and I.R.S.
Our clinical therapists come from both on and off reserve. They might be second generation residential school survivors, they may have even had some experiences similar to yours. This gives our therapists a unique perspective and the ability to connect with you on a different level, in a culturally safe and appropriate way.
Our services are covered by NIHB and IRS (Residential Health Support Program) for all eligible status First Nations and are normally provided in your home (on and off reserve), your local health centre or in a safe space chosen by you such as at school or at the Friendship Centre.
With the global pandemic our services are now limited to
Telehealth until further notice.
